Williamsburg cosmetic-focused practice
Smyleee Rating
Very Good
Dently: Cosmetic Dentistry in Williamsburg is ranked in the top 3 on 1 Smyleee Top 10 list.
Dently is a cosmetic-focused dental practice on North 8th Street in Williamsburg — the framing matters because most of the work here is aesthetic rather than routine. Patients arrive primarily for veneers, whitening, smile-design consultations, and cosmetic restorative cases where appearance is the driver. Routine general dentistry — cleanings and basic fillings — is on the menu, but the office's center of gravity is the cosmetic side rather than the day-to-day general-practice rhythm.
For cavity-related cases specifically, the team handles tooth-colored composite fillings with attention to color-matching for visible teeth, replacement fillings when older work has compromised aesthetics, and the cosmetic-grade restorative work that goes beyond functional repair into appearance optimization. Beyond fillings, services include in-office and at-home whitening, porcelain veneers for visible-tooth transformation, aesthetic crowns, smile makeovers, and basic general care like cleanings. The cosmetic emphasis means visible-tooth work gets planned with appearance considerations from the start rather than added on after.
If your front teeth need work that combines structural repair with cosmetic improvement, a practice that anchors its identity in aesthetics tends to plan that combined-project work better than offices where cosmetics is a secondary service.
Patients searching for dentist accepting new patients in Brooklyn, NY, family dentist in Brooklyn, or general dentistry in Brooklyn, NY who land here should know the practice is cosmetic-leaning rather than a first-stop general dentist for routine recall care — though basic general dentistry is available alongside the cosmetic services. The cosmetic consultation typically combines visual assessment, photographs, smile-design discussion, and a phased treatment plan. For Williamsburg patients planning aesthetic work that may include some routine restorative steps along the way, this North 8th Street cosmetic practice is the appropriate type of office for that combined project. Bringing prior X-rays and treatment records from a previous dentist usually saves a redundant imaging round at the new-patient exam and gives the team baseline context to compare against current findings.

Cosmetic dentistry improves the appearance of a smile through treatments such as teeth whitening and veneers, planned around each patient's goals.
Porcelain veneers are thin, custom shells bonded to the front of the teeth to address chips, gaps, and discoloration as part of a smile plan.
A smile makeover combines several cosmetic treatments into one coordinated plan, reshaping a smile's color, shape, and balance together.
General dentistry at Dently covers routine exams, cleanings, fillings, and decay prevention — the everyday care that keeps a Williamsburg smile healthy.
Professional dental cleanings remove the plaque and tartar that brushing misses, protecting the gums and helping the dentist catch early decay.

Dr. Patel & Lule are the best! They have worked with me patiently on bringing back my smile bit by bit. Everyone in the office is so kind attentive and helpful. My most recent visit was for crowns and they are perfect. I am beyond happy!!!
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Dently. I had been having significant sensitivity in one of my teeth for months. As a result, I had a consultation with Dr. Patel, who was not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but also responsive and patient. She discovered that I had cracked the tooth, and after walking me through the options and answering all my questions, eventually ended up placing a crown. She did a phenomenal job, and since permanent crown placement, my sensitivity is completely gone and I could not have asked for a better or smoother experience. The support staff as well, from reception to the dental assistants, were also fantastic and always extremely pleasant, competent, helpful. This has been one of the best experiences I have had as a patient. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and Dently for anyone looking for dental services.
I wonder if they are still in practice? I had an appointment scheduled this week, but when I arrived at 3:45 (my appointment time) the clinic was closed. I called them and left two messages, and sent them three emails enquiring what had happened, but so far (four days later), I still have not heard back. The only thing I got from them was a late night automated message on the day of my appointment noting that I had not shown up at my appointment, and if I would like to reschedule. I would appreciated a response to my email, not an apologetic AI generated response to this feedback. Edited after the below feedback: I don't appreciate misrepresentation of what happened. I was never contacted by phone or email to cancel the reservation or inform about the early closure. I received the first contact from you eight days after my appointment and in the voice mail message you left me you said "I did look into the appointment, how originally was made, and for some reason or another, um your information came through, uh, incomplete, and the appointment was not put into our appointment book." Thank you.
Extremely poor scheduling and disrespect for patients time. I had appointments booked several months in advance. 45 minutes before the appoint i was texted that i had to be rescheduled, no apology, no acknowledgement. This appointment was the middle of the working day, so cost me hours in travel time, rearranged meetings, etc. I have cancelled all future appointments given this is consistently a problem and will never return to this practice. In addition, you wont be seen by the dentist you book - you'll just be given whoever can be bothered at that time :)
I have been going to Dently dental for a couple years now and had a great experience. They’ve always been transparent about the cost and the quality of service was great. However most recently (Nov) I visited for a regular cleaning and was told there was nothing to pay at the front desk (as usual, cleaning is covered by my insurance). A week later I got a $700+ charge in the mail; it turns out my provider had gone out of network and they did not tell me of this change before they hit me retroactively with this out of pocket charge. Edited for updates — Dently reached out to let me know that this claim was due to an administrative error; my provider’s in-network status was not processed fully by the time of my visit. They clarified that I would not owe the amount that my insurance claim stated and that my visit would still be 100% covered as per my regular plan. I really appreciate this correction and their flexibility around accommodating insurance/network related mishaps. I’ve been happy about the quality of their service for the last two years so I was pretty confused and upset by the hefty retroactive charge for my preventative cleaning; I’m glad it was a misunderstanding/unintentional miscommunication and that I can continue to go to Dently in the future knowing these types of issues will be resolved easily
