iSmile Dental's Williamsburg location sits on North 5th Street, a few blocks from the Williamsburg Bridge entrance and the East River waterfront. The practice handles general dentistry for the surrounding Williamsburg residential community — younger working professionals, families that've moved in over the last decade, and longtime residents who've stayed through the neighborhood's transformation. The clinic is set up for routine general dentistry as the day-to-day pattern.
Filling work covers the routine general-dentistry range. The team uses tooth-colored composite as the default material, with single-surface and multi-surface restorations, replacement fillings when older work has failed, and the diagnostic call between filling and crown when more tooth structure has been compromised. Beyond fillings, services include cleanings and exams, root canals for cases where decay has reached the pulp, crowns and bridges, extractions, gum-disease screening, and emergency dental visits. The team will walk through treatment-plan options across cost tiers rather than defaulting to the most expensive option as the recommendation.
If you've been moving between rentals across North Brooklyn and you've never had time to anchor a regular dentist, a comprehensive new-patient exam here is a low-pressure way to start that relationship.
Patients searching for affordable family dental care in Brooklyn, family dentist in Brooklyn, or general dentist near me in Brooklyn who live in Williamsburg, Greenpoint, or Bushwick often weigh practices like this one for the residential proximity and routine availability. iSmile fits that local pattern. The new-patient exam combines comprehensive radiographs, periodontal screening, and a treatment-plan review before any restorative work is scheduled. For Williamsburg and adjacent-neighborhood residents picking a regular general dental practice for routine recall scheduling, this North 5th Street office is a reasonable first appointment to anchor a long-term dental relationship. For patients who grind their teeth or notice signs of nighttime clenching, flagging it at the new-patient exam matters more than most realize, since wear patterns affect filling material choices and crown planning over time.
iSmile Dental provides general dentistry from a North 5th Street practice in Williamsburg — cleanings, fillings, crowns, and routine restorative care for the surrounding waterfront neighborhood.

General dentistry at iSmile Dental covers comprehensive exams, professional cleanings, tooth-colored fillings, and decay monitoring for patients across Williamsburg.
Professional dental cleanings clear away built-up plaque and tartar, supporting healthy gums and giving the dentist a clear view for early decay.
Crowns and bridges restore damaged and missing teeth, rebuilding the strength and shape needed for comfortable everyday chewing.
Root canal treatment clears infection from inside a tooth, easing pain and preserving a natural tooth that would otherwise be lost.
Emergency dental care handles urgent issues — severe toothache, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling — with prompt treatment to relieve pain.

As someone who works in the medical field, I understand how offices operate, which is why this experience was so disappointing. My Invisalign consultation was rescheduled three times. While the office did notify me about the changes, I was never informed in advance that the consultation would cost $200 out of pocket. The fee itself is not the issue, the lack of communication is. I was also only told upon arrival that bringing existing X-rays could help avoid additional charges, which should have been explained beforehand. Upon entering, I greeted two receptionists who were wearing headphones and did not acknowledge me. When discussing pricing, there was visible eye-rolling and loud tongue-clicking while I asked questions, clearly showing frustration that I was seeking clarification. That behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable in a medical setting. Additionally, the office appeared unclean, stained chairs in the waiting area and muddy floors upon entry. I never made it to the doctor because the overall experience at the front desk set the tone. Strong communication and professionalism start at reception, and unfortunately, this visit did not reflect that.
I had by far the worst dental experience of my life with Dr. Kirti Sohal. She performed four fillings in under one hour, which felt incredibly rushed. As a result, all four teeth caused severe, ongoing pain for months afterward. The only solution was to visit a different dentist who had to completely redo all the work because the original fillings were so poorly done. Even more concerning, I repeatedly and clearly told her that I did not want my two wisdom teeth removed and had no intention of doing so. Despite this, she proceeded to administer a large amount of anesthesia and continued pressuring/attempting to extract them right up to the end of the appointment. The excessive numbing left my mouth unable to close properly for the entire afternoon, causing me to accidentally bite my tongue badly. This felt like assembly-line dentistry focused on quick procedures and maximizing billing rather than patient care or consent. If you're looking for thorough, respectful, and careful treatment, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Save yourself the pain, additional costs, and stress—I certainly wish I had.
Do not go here. They just want your money and don’t care about you. I went in telling them for a year I felt a chip in my tooth that was sharp and cutting me and they told me I was wrong. Dr didn’t even LOOK in my mouth. I changed dentists and they immediate took a photo of the massive chip in my molar that I now have to get filled. More than a year later.
I had a very positive experience here. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful throughout. A complex dental procedure was handled smoothly, with great care and professionalism. I felt well taken care of from start to finish, and I’m happy to recommend this office to others.
Ismile in Williamsburg is the best dentist in the world. I’ve Been going for 10 years. The staff is great and I always enjoy my time there when I’m getting my Teeth cleaned.
