You do not have to pay charges if; • You are having stitches removed • Your dentist has to stop the bleeding in your mouth • Your dentures need repair You will not need to pay NHS dental costs if, on the first day of your treatment; • You are aged 18 and under • Under 19 and receiving full time education • Pregnant, or a mother who has had a baby in the last 12 months • You are included in an award of income support, income related support allowance, income based job seekers allowance, pension credit with guaranteed credit or receive universal credit • You are named on a valid tax exemption certificate, or entitled to an NHS tax exemption certificate.
