We will always endeavour to see a patient in pain on the same day, but please note emergency appointments are on a first come first serve basis. Any treatment that your dentist believes is clinically necessary to achieve and maintain good oral health should be available on the NHS.
You do not have to pay charges if;
• You are having stitches removed
• Your dentist has to stop the bleeding in your mouth
• Your dentures need repair
You will not need to pay NHS dental costs if, on the first day of your treatment;
• You are aged 18 and under
• Under 19 and receiving full time education
• Pregnant, or a mother who has had a baby in the last 12 months
• You are included in an award of income support, income related support allowance, income based job seekers allowance, pension credit with guaranteed credit or receive universal credit
• You are named on a valid tax exemption certificate, or entitled to an NHS tax exemption certificate.
