Park Slope dental on 5th Avenue
Smyleee Rating
Very Good
Park Slope Family Dentistry sits on 5th Avenue in Park Slope, the brownstone neighborhood between Prospect Park and the Gowanus that's known for stroller-friendly sidewalks and a parent-heavy demographic. The practice is calibrated for that audience — kids' first dental visits, growing families adding patients across years, and the routine general dentistry that anchors a multi-decade dental relationship rather than transactional one-off care.
Routine fillings are one of the most common procedures here. The team handles tooth-colored composite restorations across all age groups, single-surface and multi-surface work, replacement fillings when old restorations have failed, and the diagnostic call between filling and crown for teeth that have lost more structure to decay. Beyond fillings, the menu covers cleanings and exams for adults and kids, sealants for newly erupted permanent teeth, root canals, crowns and bridges, extractions, gum-disease screening, and routine emergency visits. They'll walk a hesitant kid through the chair experience at their own pace before any cleaning or treatment.
If you've moved to Park Slope with young kids and you're picking the family's first dentist together, a comprehensive new-patient exam here gives you a single starting point for the whole household instead of separate adult and pediatric offices.
Patients searching for dentist for whole family in Brooklyn, family dentist in Brooklyn, or family dental practice in Brooklyn often choose practices like this one when household efficiency matters — same office, same dentist, same scheduling system across age groups. The new-patient visit usually batches comprehensive exams for everyone in the family at the first appointment when scheduling allows. For Park Slope, Gowanus, and Prospect Heights families picking a regular family dental practice, this 5th Avenue clinic is the kind of all-ages anchor that fits. Bringing prior X-rays and treatment records from a previous dentist usually saves a redundant imaging round at the new-patient exam and gives the team baseline context to compare against current findings.
Park Slope Family Dentistry runs a 5th Avenue practice serving Park Slope families — routine cleanings, fillings, crowns, and the general dentistry that anchors a long-term dental relationship.

General dentistry at Park Slope Family Dentistry covers routine exams, cleanings, fillings, and decay prevention — the everyday care that anchors a long-term dental relationship.
Professional dental cleanings remove the plaque and tartar that brushing misses, protecting the gums and helping the dentist spot early decay.
Crowns and bridges restore damaged or missing teeth — a crown caps a weakened tooth, while a bridge fills the gap left by one or more lost teeth.
Root canal treatment removes infection from inside a tooth, relieving pain and preserving a natural tooth that might otherwise need extraction.
Emergency dental care addresses urgent problems such as a severe toothache, a broken tooth, or a lost filling, with prompt attention to relieve pain.

Park Slope Family Dentistry is the best dental practice I've visited. I had a difficult dental issue a few years ago that Dr. Warshaw diagnosed and managed with patience, care, and humor. Since then, I've enjoyed my routine checkups as much as anyone can enjoy a trip to the dentist. Plus, if you're lucky, you'll encounter the therapy dog who graced my last few visits.
Park slope Family Dentistry has been my dentist for over 20 years. I moved out of Brooklyn a year ago, and I now drive 75 miles to receive my regular checkup. Excellent service.
The hygienist was gentle but thorough. Dr Warshaw reviewed my medication list with me and explained how interactions could be causing certain symptoms.the front office staff was , as always, very kind and courteous.
The Dental Hygienist (Paula) who worked on my teeth was excellent, she spent quite a bit of time on my teeth and did a wonderful job. Everything else was fine as always, also.
Had a routine cleaning by a talented hygienist. We've been clients here for years, so the place feels like home. Warm & highly experienced staff.
