About Pine Dentistry

Pine Dentistry is located at 1531 Maryland Avenue Northeast in Washington DC's 20002 zip code — the Trinidad and Capitol Hill Northeast neighborhood, along Maryland Avenue NE between the H Street corridor and the Capitol Hill proper. Maryland Avenue NE in the 1500 block is a residential street in the Trinidad neighborhood, one of the diverse, historically Black communities in DC's northeast quadrant that has experienced significant demographic change and investment since the mid-2000s. Trinidad is immediately north of the H Street NE corridor, one of DC's most active restaurant and nightlife strips.

The Pine Dentistry brand name evokes natural strength, longevity, and rootedness — pine as an evergreen tree that endures through seasons and weather. This nature-based branding suggests a practice identity built on durability and patient relationships that last over time rather than transactional dental encounters. A naturally branded practice in Trinidad participates in the neighborhood's identity as a community with deep historical roots alongside its recent reinvestment.

General dental care at Pine Dentistry covers comprehensive oral examinations, professional cleanings, restorative treatments, diagnostic imaging, and management of dental health for the Trinidad and surrounding Northeast DC patient base. The practice serves the mixed community of longtime residents, newer homeowners who bought into the neighborhood during and after the H Street revitalization, and the young professionals attracted to the neighborhood's proximity to the H Street corridor and the DC streetcar line.

The 1531 Maryland Avenue NE address is accessible from the H Street corridor and the surrounding Trinidad and Northeast DC street network, with bus service on Maryland Avenue and the DC streetcar on H Street. For Trinidad and Capitol Hill Northeast patients who want a naturally branded dental practice rooted in the neighborhood, Pine Dentistry at Maryland Avenue provides accessible care in this evolving Northeast DC community.

I'm a single mom with six kids, and we've all been to the Maryland Avenue location. It’s really roomy and super clean. Everyone who works there is really nice, attentive, and professional. Overall, it was a good experience. Thanks to everyone there!

I don’t like how they act at us, and they almost hit my baby niece and of stead of them saying sorry they just made us sit down with an angry voice tone. And also I come on time on my appointment and makes us wake even longer then they say I should be there.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RATS!!! I knew i was going to have a problem here when i first called to make an appointment. The person I talked to had a heavy Asian accent but spoke so fast that i could not understand him. I asked him several times to please slow down but he wouldn't. I got the feeling that he could speak slower, but he WOULD NOT. I couldn't get an appointment until a month later, in August. I got a confirmation robo-call from Pine on July 29, and i confirmed my appointment. I also called Pine that week and spoke to a live person to confirm. I show up the morning of August 1 and am told, "THERE IS NO HYGIENIST TO SEE YOU TODAY." I asked why no one called me to cancel the appointment, but there was no answer from the desk person. I checked my voicemail and texts, and confirmed that there were none from Pine cancelling the appointment. I took off work, and turned down jobs to make this appointment, and i feel like they just don't care. If you want reasonable customer service, DO NOT COME HERE!! Also, when i walked in this morning, August 1, a man walked in behind me and rudely tried to walk through the front door ahead of me. As I waited in line at the front desk the man began walking throughout the clinic triggering rat traps!! He stuck something into each trap and they would snap close loudly and jump up in the air. I understand the need for rat traps, but why was he triggering them while customers were in the clinic? Another example of poor customer service!

they never answer the phone. i think since they’re closing shortly their customer service quality has plummeted significantly. i’ve never had a problem with them answering the phone until recently. some of their front desk workers have nasty attitudes and a unwelcoming vibe. i can’t remember her name but the asian woman who works there is my favorite i love her she’s always polite. everytime i get her i know she’s going to do whatever i need done correctly. another worker unfortunately didnt do my fill in correctly and i ended up having to get a root canal on the tooth she worked on & she did the same thing to my brother months later!!

Every time we show for our appointment, they never see us on time. They always have us waiting extra hour after our appointment time but if we show up late 15 minutes late We have to reschedule which I think is unfair then they have times on the wall saying that if you schedule a 1230 or 430 appointment you do not have a grace. Period. They do not have a supervisor nobody you can talk to. They don’t have no corporate or nothing horrible and I do not recommend.
