Qualifying in 1981 at Dundee University, Ross gained experience in general Practice as an associate before moving to Norwich and buying the Surrey Street Practice in 1986. Ross is a founder member and facilitator of a local study group of Norwich dentists which has been running since 1987. This enables him to remain at the forefront of developments within dental practice and the latest clinical techniques.
In his spare time, Ross is a keen cyclist, rower and a former tri-athlete, competing in many events and completing five Ironman distance races including the Ironman UK in 2009, when he raised over £4000.00 for Alzheimer’s Society. His other interests include theatre, wine, cooking and a diverse music taste which ranges from Opera to Rock!
Ross and his wife Linda have a daughter, Emelia. Linda has many years experience in her role of Practice Manager and she is dedicated to the continuing development of the Practice and the team.
Linda’s love of singing and performing in musicals means you may have spotted her on the Theatre Royal stage or in shows with her talented singing group ‘reprise!’ raising money for local charities.
Our Practice Receptionist, Alison, is your first point of contact and she will make your visits as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Having joined the practice in 2002, Alison is well known and loved by our regular patients. She is very efficient in running the appointment system and is responsible for the daily administration of the Practice. If you need to ask anything, Alison is always ready to listen, help or offer advice.
Pip, our Dental Therapist is a familiar face in the Practice, having worked as a dental nurse with Ross for several years before leaving to fulfil her dream of travelling in Australia. With this out of her system, she embarked on a 2 ½ year course at Cardiff University studying for a combined Diploma in Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene, achieving this with merit. We have been overjoyed to have Pip back with us working part time as a Qualified Dental Therapist since 2007. Pip will look after your hygiene needs as well as carrying out a range of treatments and looking after many of our younger patients.
Our small team of fully qualified Dental Nurses are very friendly, caring and professional. They ensure the smooth running of the surgeries and decontamination unit, while delivering the highest possible standards of cross infection control and excellent patient care. They assist Ross and Pip during procedures and will take great care of you and your needs. Although team changes are inevitable from time to time, we take pride in being able to offer you the care of a regular team.
