About Bay Area Kids Dentistry

Bay Area Kids Dentistry is a West Valley practice on Saratoga Avenue, in the corridor that runs from West San Jose through Saratoga and Cupertino. As a kid-only pediatric practice, the office is set up around children specifically — chairs, equipment, waiting room, and the clinical approach are all designed for patients who are by definition kids, which changes how every visit feels compared to a general practice that occasionally sees children alongside adults on the same daily schedule with adult-sized expectations of compliance.

The clinic handles the full pediatric dental program: preventive cleanings starting at the first tooth, dental sealants on the molars to head off cavities before they start, fluoride treatments tailored to each child's cavity-risk level, restorative fillings when cavities form, and pediatric emergency visits for the usual childhood mishaps. The kid-only setup also means the staff has built up the specific experience needed for genuinely nervous children — distraction techniques, kid-language explanations, and the patience of professionals whose entire day is spent treating children rather than splitting attention between adult and kid patients.

If your child is anxious about dental visits or has had a bad experience at a non-pediatric practice, a kid-only office is built around exactly that situation and tends to handle it more gracefully than a general dentist ever can across the long arc of building dental confidence.

For West Valley, Cupertino, and Saratoga families researching a kid-friendly dental clinic in San Jose, pediatric dental sealants and fluoride in San Jose, or a dentist for toddlers and infants in San Jose, this Saratoga Avenue practice handles those needs with the focus that only a children-only practice can offer. First visits here are explicitly structured around getting your child comfortable with the chair, the tools, and the dentist before any actual dental work happens at all — that ramp-up matters more for long-term dental anxiety than parents usually realize at the time.

A West Valley pediatric practice on Saratoga Avenue, offering preventive cleanings, sealants, fluoride, fillings, and emergency pediatric visits — useful for West San Jose, Cupertino, and Saratoga families wanting a kid-focused dental home.

I took my kids to the Saratoga location as they were in network and every time we went, the staff said we only have to pay the copay. Then this May I started receiving a bill online. The "bill" never provided an explanation as to what exactly they were for. I asked for an itemized bill, in which they could not produce for months. It wasn't until August that someone called me back to tell me verbally what the charges were (x rays that I didn't know my child took back in February), but still nothing on paper and I received a notification every month about my outstanding mysterious balance. In early Nov, they finally produced an itemized bill that I have attached. I'm still not sure why under 3 years old oral evaluation isn't covered by my insurance, but that's what I was told. I paid the statement balance and today, 12/5, I receive yet another notice that I owe $7. There was no explanation, but comparing the two statements, which I have included here, it seems they randomly changed some charges and even added a charge. This is fraud because the last six months they have sent me a different bill this whole time and now all of a sudden after I paid they decided to change the charges with no explanation? It is also harassment to continue to email someone without providing any explanation for the charges. It's their responsibility to make sure the charges are correct and it seems they're just arbitrary at this point. Stay away from this incompetent business.

We had a wonderful experience with Bay area kids dentistry. Dr Phen and Brittany were so kind and helpful with my son’s procedure. Edit : We had back to back appointments for our kids. During the visit for our second child, once again we had a pleasant experience. Especially Maria was so patient with our kid. Though it was his first dental visit ever, she comforted him and made it a fun visit. Also took time to listen and answer all our questions. She assisted us right from the moment we entered the premises until we left. She is so kind and amazing.

At our second visit to Bay Area Kids Dentistry we had an amazing experience! Our son’s hygienist Selma was very engaging and considerate of our young 3 year old. She was so welcoming Selma even warmed our son up to using the power brush to clean his teeth for the very first time! The dentist is very thorough and encouraging as well. We in general had a very pleasant experience with all the staff and fun dental office. Thank you Bay Area Kids Dentistry we will se you in 6 months!

I highly recommend Bay Area Kids Dentistry. We have been visiting them for many years and are very happy with the service. The dentist and hygienists are so attentive, gentle, engaging, and take the time to educate my two children about better brushing and flossing habits. My kids actually enjoy coming here!
