Smyleee Medical Advisory Board

Dental content is medical content. Every clinic ranking, treatment page, and editorial article on Smyleee is reviewed by a panel of licensed dentists with verified credentials.

Why this board exists

Patients deserve dental information that a real dentist has signed off on.

Most directory sites publish dental content reviewed by no dentist at all. Smyleee operates differently. Our editorial guardrails — licensed reviewers, disclosed credentials, independent ranking review, and a public review trail — exist so that what you read on Smyleee can be trusted by patients, by referring clinics, and by search engines.

Clinical sign-off from licensed dentists

Every clinical claim on Smyleee — treatment descriptions, safety guidance, procedure steps — is signed off by a licensed, practicing dentist on the board. The board also includes experienced medical content editors who support research and writing, but clinical accuracy sign-off always comes from a licensed dentist, never a non-clinician.

Independence from listings

Board members do not approve clinic rankings of practices they are affiliated with. Conflicts are disclosed; affected rankings are reviewed by a different board member.

Evidence-based content

Treatment claims, procedure descriptions, and safety guidance reference peer-reviewed sources, ADA guidance, or national dental association statements. We cite, not invent.

Refresh on schedule

Every editorial page carries a 'reviewed on' date. Clinical content is re-reviewed at least annually, sooner when standards of care change.

The board

Meet the reviewers

The board includes licensed, practicing dentists who provide clinical sign-off, and medical content editors who support research and writing — each member's role is labeled on their card. Click any profile to see their education, credentials, and the areas they review for Smyleee.

Founding board being announced

Smyleee is finalising introductions with the founding members of the medical advisory board. Every dentist on this page will be a verified, licensed practitioner with disclosed credentials, affiliations, and review specialties.

Practising dentists interested in joining the editorial board can write to hello@smyleee.com.

Review process

How a Smyleee page is reviewed

Every editorial page passes through the same four-step review. Nothing labelled as medically reviewed has skipped a step.

  1. 01

    Drafting

Smyleee editors prepare content using clinic data, public records, and published dental sources. No claim is made without a source.

  2. 02

    Medical review

A licensed dentist on the board — matched to the relevant specialty (cosmetic, implants, pediatric, etc.) — reviews the draft for clinical accuracy, treatment-step correctness, and safety language. Non-clinician editors never perform this step.

  3. 03

    Cross-check

Rankings of clinics are spot-checked by a second board member with no affiliation to the practices reviewed.

  4. 04

    Publish & date

Approved content goes live with the reviewing dentist's byline and the review date. Anyone can request a re-review by emailing hello@smyleee.com.

Conflicts of interest

Board members do not review rankings of clinics they own, consult for, or are employed by. Any board member with a financial or professional relationship to a listed clinic discloses it on their profile, and that clinic is reviewed by a different board member.

Smyleee never accepts payment in exchange for a ranking position or for an editorial review. Sponsored placements, where they exist, are labelled.

Sources we cite

Treatment descriptions reference the American Dental Association, national dental councils, peer-reviewed dental journals, and clinic-supplied evidence. When a claim is the opinion of a board member, that member is named.

Patients can ask Smyleee to provide the source for any claim by emailing hello@smyleee.com. We respond within five business days.
