We know from patient experiences that people can be anxious about visiting the dentist, and often may need time and consideration to come to a decision. We strive to communicate in the best way possible, to have open and honest discussions with you on all the options available which will allow you to make a full and informed decision. Our hygienists and therapists are dental professionals who work alongside the dentists to help provide the best possible dental care. They have been trained specifically in preventative care, periodontal (gum) maintenance and some additional dental treatments (therapist only). When you have a dental health check we will give you guidance how often you should be visiting our dental hygienists to maintain excellent oral health. Regular visits prevent dental problems becoming painful and long lasting. Each patient will be advised on how often they should attend their hygiene appointments, and this can vary from every three months to every year. We have two experienced dental hygienists at East Leigh Dental and they are there to help you with any issues or questions you may have about maintaining good oral hygiene. We are focussed on preventive care and believe having cleaner teeth can mean less dental treatment in the future. Most patients join one of our dental plans and see the dental hygienists every 3-6 months. It is very important to maintain excellent dental hygiene from an early age. The hygienists focus on home care, and help patients with the necessary tools and techniques to optimise their routine and better their oral health. We have appointments free daily. Our dental hygienists are happy to see patients who are not registered at the practice for hygiene appointments only. That’s right, you don’t have to be a regular patient to see one of our dental hygienists!
