About Gentle Dental Care of Rochester

On Monroe Avenue in Rochester's Monroe neighborhood, Gentle Dental Care of Rochester combines general and cosmetic dentistry with surgical capability that reaches well beyond a typical office. Everyday care has its place, but the practice is notably equipped for the more involved procedures, the kind that often require a referral to a separate specialist.

The surgical and restorative side is a defining feature. The team places dental implants, performs extractions and maxillofacial surgery, and offers apicoectomy for cases where a root tip needs treatment after a root canal. Oral pathology adds attention to diagnosing tissue concerns, and CAD/CAM dental restorations support efficient, well-fitted restorations. For patients who feel anxious or face longer surgical appointments, sedation dentistry helps keep treatment comfortable, which is reassuring given the depth of procedures available here.

Cosmetic dentistry gives the practice a second dimension. Teeth whitening brightens stained or dulled teeth, and veneers reshape and refine the front of a smile, letting patients pursue appearance alongside the restorative and surgical work. Having cosmetic and general care in the same office means patients can address health and aesthetics with one team rather than coordinating across providers around the city.

That combination makes the practice a fit for a range of needs, adults considering implants, patients facing extractions, oral surgery, or specialized procedures like apicoectomy who value sedation, and anyone wanting cosmetic work from a practice that can also handle complex cases. Emergency dentistry covers sudden breaks and pain. For Rochester residents in the Monroe Avenue area who want real surgical capability without leaving their general dentist, Gentle Dental Care of Rochester offers a versatile, well-equipped practice that brings everyday care and more demanding treatment together under one roof. The combination of apicoectomy, oral pathology, maxillofacial surgery, and extractions backed by sedation is unusually deep for a general office, and with veneers and whitening available too, Gentle Dental Care gives Monroe Avenue patients a practice that can take on specialized surgical work and cosmetic refinement without sending them across the city.

Gentle Dental Care of Rochester, on Monroe Avenue in the city's Monroe neighborhood, pairs general and cosmetic dentistry with surgical depth, implants, extractions, maxillofacial surgery, apicoectomy, and oral pathology, plus sedation dentistry. It suits patients wanting restorative and surgical capability alongside everyday care in one office.

Absolutely ridiculous. Nothing gentle about it. Nobody listens. Every job I had done failed and was rushed. These people are more like butchers then dentist. Definitely find a better place.

Haven't been to a dentist since I was a child, I'm 42 now. I have horrible anxiety especially involving anticipated pain and they were kind and patient with me. One of the assistants even held my hand when she saw i was getting anxious during my novicain. Going to have more work done with them and I can't wait to truly smile again.

10 stars , if you need a dentist this is the place you should check out for dental care. The dentist here is VERY skilled at removing teeth, he has removed 4 or 5 teeth and every time I have been happy with the results.

The dental work is excellent, and the team is very professional. However, I have a serious complaint regarding your cancellation policy. I was informed that I must cancel 48 hours in advance or incur a fee. The problem is that no one can plan when they are going to get sick. I called to cancel because I was ill, yet I was still required to pay—which essentially forced me to come into the office while sick, the very place where the dentist has to work directly inside my mouth. As healthcare professionals, you should be the first to understand that a sick patient should not attend a dental appointment. Doing so poses a risk to both the patient and the entire staff. The 48-hour policy may make sense for cancellations made for convenience, but there should be a clear exception for illness. I hope you will reconsider this, as a clinic of your caliber deserves a policy that lives up to its standards.

First appointment went alright but the second appointment with the actually dentist appeared to be passive aggressive towards me. While filling my cavity he began speaking in Spanish at times which didn't really bother me but then he literally said "It's all good in the hood." to his dental assistant and I noticed the shocked expression on her face like why would he even say that? Then also said "Just hang in there." about 3 times. I gave no reaction. I began to wonder if he says that to all of his patients or just the Black ones.

My first appointment went well, and I was informed that I needed to schedule another appointment to fill my cavity. However, when I informed the front office about this, they didn’t schedule the appointment for me. I left the appointment and they called me, informing me that I needed to schedule it. I did so over the phone while driving in a snowstorm! When my appointment finally came, I was severely ill. Who goes to their dentist appointment while sick? I couldn’t breathe out of my nose. When I called to reschedule, they informed me that I needed to let them know 48 hours in advance. Okay, understandable. So, I asked if I could call back and schedule another time. The woman on the phone told me that I was no longer a patient of theirs and that I couldn’t continue seeing them. I’ve never heard of such a ridiculous policy. They are disorganized and lack effective communication.

Dr. Faith Botana is the best! I went for a general check up because I switched insurances. Found Gentle Dental on my insurance’s provider directory. All of the staff were really nice: front desk, dental assistants, dentists. Dr. Botana and the dental assistant (whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch) were both very good at explaining what they were going to do before actually doing it - great bedside manners. Dr. Botana even took the time to thoroughly go over my x-rays and scans just to show me what was going on, what she thought about my teeth, and to tell me the “why” behind what she did during the appointment. Great place to seek dental care.
