About Kaio Dental
Kaio Dental is a dental practice at 11940 Foothill Boulevard, Suite 101, in Rancho Cucamonga, offering general dentistry alongside more specific restorative and surgical care for patients who need more than a cleaning and exam. Operating since 2013 under Dr. Chonway D. Tram, the office keeps routine visits and bigger procedures under one roof so a cavity that turns into a crown, or a tooth that needs pulling, does not automatically mean a referral to a new office. That continuity is useful for families who want one dentist for both kids and adults, and for patients who would rather finish a crown in a single visit than schedule a second appointment weeks later.
The practice's most distinctive offering is same-day CAD/CAM crowns, milled in-office rather than sent out to a lab, alongside inlays and onlays for teeth that need more than a filling but not a full crown. General care includes cleanings, extractions, and wisdom tooth removal, with pediatric dentistry available for younger patients. Cosmetic cases are handled with clear aligner orthodontics, and dental implants and oral surgery are offered for patients replacing a missing tooth, plus emergency visits for sudden pain or a broken tooth.
If a cracked back tooth needs a crown, being able to get it milled and seated in one visit instead of wearing a temporary for two weeks changes how disruptive that appointment actually is.
What a visit costs depends heavily on whether it is a cleaning, a same-day crown, or an implant, and the office can only give an accurate number after actually examining the tooth or site in question. The practice accepts most major insurance plans and will submit out-of-network claims on a patient's behalf, which can meaningfully narrow the gap between the quoted fee and what is actually owed. Patients on Foothill Boulevard or elsewhere in Rancho Cucamonga can start with an exam to see where a same-day crown or other treatment actually fits.

First visit together with my wife turned out to be a great experience. We were attended by dedicated staff who were knowledgeable and attentive to all our dental problems. They immediately provided the necessary procedure to resolve the issues.
Good dentists are hard to come by. Many of them tell you to get all these procedures done and you spend a ton of money thinking it's what supposed to happen. But really do we really know? Unfortunately my wife has had a ton of work done on her teeth throughout the years. We've seen dentists who recommended doing a full mouth reconstruction $60k. She's had multiple root canals and crowns. We went to our normal dentist who said she needs a new crown because a cavity is forming. But we weren't sure. We heard about Kaio Dental from another dentist friend and drove the hour drive from OC to see him. Let's just say we found our new dentist and are willing to drive that hour every 6 months. Dr. Tram is amazing. He taught at Western so he's knowledgeable and skilled. He understands its a changing field and one way is not the correct way. He also knows that explanation to the patient is key. He actually explained to use and showed us with a CT scan why she should hold off on the crown. There was a possible infection in the root so he recommended the imaging being read by an endodontist because if he replaced the crown and introduced bacteria into the area, it may cause even more pain. Something we had no idea on. He has amazing ethics. Isn't in it for the money. Just wants to be a good dentist. He doesn't do same day crowns anymore as he said it's too rushed and he wants focus on the quality since he does it himself. Great team, great office, clean, good parking. If you're scared or had a bad experience with dentists in the past, visit Kaio Dental.
Dr. Tram is very nice and very helpful, and also Alyssa and Jill are the same!
Dr Tram and his staff are Amazing. I always had dental anxiety, but as soon as you walk in you’re greeted by friendly staff and a comfortable environment. Dr Tram explained what needed to be done and took care of me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kaio Dental.
Dr Tram is great! I’m a veteran and neglected my teeth for years. He told me what I needed to do to get healthy and I committed to have it done. He & his staff are the best. Always friendly. Would highly recommend. Thank you Kaio Dental!!
I have been a patient here for at least 10 years. I had no negative experience with Dr. Tram however his office staff is terrible. Starting with scheduling, contact, patient treatment, care, etc. I have fond them to be disrespectful uncaring and flippant when it comes to patient care. I am sadden to now have to find a new dentist but ater the treatment I have received my family and I will not return. I know Dr. Tram has no Idea because they clearly screen his calls and messages so he never receives them. I do not believe he would like the way patients are being treated by his office staff.
The entire staff is exceptionally friendly, professional, and welcoming from the moment they walk in. The staff and doctor take the time to know their patients and their preferences, fostering a genuine, caring environment. Dr. Tram, is thorough and does not recommend unnecessary services or tries to "upsell" treatments. He is very educational and knowledgeable, he always takes the time to explain conditions and procedures, which builds patient confidence and understanding. Dr. Tram is highly skilled in various dental areas, including general dentistry, oral surgery, implants, and cosmetic restorations. He also lectures to other dentists on topics like implantology and 3D printing, indicating he is at the forefront of dental technology.
