Best dental practice I have ever used.

Dr. Murphy and her staff are always so nice and professional. They really pay attention to details and care for their patients.

I had been a patient of this practice for 11 years, i.e., ever since arriving in Austin, and I would like to share my appreciation and concerns. I am quite judicious when choosing medical professionals and I quickly became very comfortable knowing that Lake Pointe Dental “LPD” was overseeing my dental health. Dr. Murphy (and previously Dr. Butcher) consistently provided great care as well as practical expertise and is among the best dentists that I have ever known (and I’ve known a lot of them). Dr. Murphy is a superior professional (easily *****). Unfortunately, the billing practices and interactions with the office staff recently became problematic, hence my concerns and a lower overall rating. Nonetheless, I want this review to be constructive and to be reflective of my 11 years as a patient. Finances are very important to me. I do not have dental insurance and despite [1] asking upfront what the charges would be for a specific office visit and signing off on the cost, as well as [2] always paying in-full at the time of service for services rendered, a recent statement from LPD surprised me when it indicated a “balance due” for a charge added to my last visit. I sent an email addressed to Dr. Murphy about this experience and requested a reply from her, but I did not receive a response -likely because she never saw my email. However, I did get an email response from “Lake Pointe Dental Associates” (not a specific person). The email included an apology and it indicated in a somewhat “BOT-ish” fashion that “payment can be made online.” I asked a follow-up question, but I did not get a response this time, either. As noted, while LPD’s dentists, dental assistants and hygienists provide 5 star care, I became increasingly apprehensive about the organization’s billing practices and their apparent unresponsiveness to my inquiries; therein lies the room for improvement. Unfortunately, the office created a problem and disappointment for an otherwise longtime fan of the practice (at which I am no longer a patient). Good Luck!

Dr. Murphy and her excellent staff worked me in as a new patient on a very busy Monday for a minor dental emergency and provided the best of professional care. Highly recommend!

Having just moved to Austin from out of state, I needed to find a new dentist. This Dental office was amazing and they were very gentle and very personable. I would highly recommend.

I have never had such a great experience at a dentist's office before. Both the hygienist and the doctor were excellent. The facility is clean and I could tell the staff cares about the patients. The hygienist was extremely skilled and did an excellent job of cleaning patiently. Doctor Murphy had great bedside manners and wasn't pushy for anything.
