General dentistry services provide the preventive and restorative foundation of oral health care. Routine professional cleanings remove accumulated plaque and tartar, while comprehensive dental examinations assess the condition of teeth, gums, and soft tissues to identify developing concerns before they require more complex intervention. These regular visits are an important part of maintaining long-term oral health.
Cosmetic dentistry services at Legacy Dental address the appearance of teeth and the overall smile. Common cosmetic procedures include teeth whitening, dental bonding, and related treatments that improve tooth color, shape, or proportion. Patients interested in specific cosmetic options should contact the practice to discuss which treatments are available and to receive a full cost estimate before proceeding.
Treatment for tooth decay and restorative procedures are part of general dental care and help preserve the structure and function of natural teeth when cavities or minor damage occur. Addressing these conditions at an early stage typically requires simpler treatment than waiting until damage has progressed significantly.
The Boca Chica Boulevard corridor is a primary east–west route through Brownsville, connecting the city center with communities to the east. Legacy Dental is accessible to patients throughout Brownsville and from neighboring Cameron County communities. I’ve always been really scared of going to the dentist, but this experience completely changed that for me. From the moment I walked in, the staff was so friendly and welcoming, which immediately helped calm my nerves. Carol was absolutely amazing! She was so gentle and took the time to explain every step of the process and answer all of my questions. Honestly, it felt more like a relaxing spa visit than a dentist appointment. This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist, and as someone who is afraid of the dentist, I can’t recommend them enough!
I take both my kids to this dentist and they attend their check ups regularly. I voiced my concern about stains one of my kids teeth, and was reassured in several appointments that it was a normal fluoride stain, that it might be a stain from a medicine she takes regularly, that everything was fine. Her last appt in Oct I voiced my concern about the stain again and was reassured again they’d keep an eye on it. Then in January she has her regular check up appt and Dr. Vanessa says my kid has cavities. I get seen by the specialist and she tells me she has 6 cavities and will need at least 4 crowns. Will be getting a different opinion, but the problem is that I voiced my concern in every regular checkup and due to her negligence she let it become a bigger problem. My other child has never had problems with his oral health and they share the same routine. Don’t take your kids here, because to the rushed visits and little concern over parents concerns she can miss problems and let them become something bigger.
Been here waiting for almost 2 hours while ither come and go, asked about it and just the excuse of ita for a treatment, been coming here with my kiddos and for treatments too, never hapoened before.
Highly recommend Legacy Dental! The service is fast, the staff is friendly, and they truly go above and beyond for their patients !
Great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and professional. I bring my kids here and they love the jungle gym, never seen one of those in a dental office before!
This place gave me such a great experience. The staff were friendly, and the office felt very clean and welcoming. My appointment was quick, professional, and I left feeling confident about my dental care.
At first, I was really excited to have found this place, but I ended up moving my kids to another dental office. The front staff was very kind and welcoming, but the wait times were a bit too long for me and my three kids. When we saw the dentist, the visits felt a little rushed, and I didn’t quite feel the warm, personal care I was hoping for. I really appreciated the staff’s friendliness, but overall it just wasn’t the right fit for us.
Amazing experience here! The whole staff made my kids feel safe and comfortable and the wait was not long at all! Very friendly and inviting atmosphere.
