About Lowry Main Street Dental
Lowry is a general-dentistry practice set up for the everyday work most patients actually need, located on Quebec Street in Denver. The clinic is built around the day-to-day work — not boutique marketing — and serves adults and kids in one familiar place. The shape of the practice fits patients who want a clear conversation about what's actually needed, with treatment staged around real priorities rather than a one-shot proposal on the first visit. If you're scoping a Denver dental option, this is a sensible practice to put on a short list of candidates and book a first visit with. First-visit logistics typically include a short paperwork window, a baseline cleaning, and a treatment-plan discussion before anything restorative is started, so patients leave with a clear picture of next steps.
Service coverage spans the standard general-dentistry breadth: routine cleanings and exams, tooth-colored fillings, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment, basic extractions, and gum-disease management. The practice also handles in-office whitening for a cosmetic refresh when patients need them, alongside the routine preventive work. Restorations lean conservative — composite material rather than amalgam — and most needs are kept in-house, with specialty referrals reserved for cases that genuinely call for them rather than offered up front. First-visit logistics typically include a short paperwork window, a baseline cleaning, and a treatment-plan discussion before anything restorative is started, so patients leave with a clear picture of next steps.
If you're choosing a long-term general dentist rather than a one-off appointment, this is a practice set up for ongoing patient relationships.
Cost positioning sits in the typical Denver general-dentistry range, with most major insurance plans accepted and clear pretreatment estimates before restorative work begins. Patients searching for general dentistry in Denver, CO, long-time family dentist in Denver, CO, or dentist accepting new patients in Denver, CO commonly land at neighborhood practices like this one — generalists rather than narrow specialty offices. It suits families wanting consistency over many years, patients who value predictable scheduling, and anyone who'd rather have one trusted dentist see the same teeth across decades than rotate through a corporate group practice. The Denver location works for patients already running errands in this part of Denver, and parking and transit access tend to be straightforward for the surrounding blocks. First-visit logistics typically include a short paperwork window, a baseline cleaning, and a treatment-plan discussion before anything restorative is started, so patients leave with a clear picture of next steps. Great team, location and treatment of their patients. Enjoyed meeting and working with the new doctor.
Today was my first visit with Dr. Guillory. I was very pleased with the services provided.
Always very friendly and professional and they do a great job. I’ve been going here for years and have never been disappointed.
I have been a patient at Lowry Main Street Dental for approximately eight years and, until this week, had never experienced a problem significant enough to warrant a complaint. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to find a new dentist. I went in for a routine cleaning and noticed that the hygienist spent most of the appointment cleaning the right side of my mouth. When she began polishing my teeth, I stopped her and asked whether she had cleaned the left side. She appeared unsure, then quickly cleaned part of the upper left side, but the lower left side was never addressed. The appointment continued with polishing, flossing, and fluoride treatment. After the fluoride wore off later that day, the difference was obvious. The right side felt thoroughly cleaned, while the left side—especially the lower left—did not. I called the office the same day and explained what had happened. I made it clear that I did not think it was intentional and simply wanted the missed area cleaned. The receptionist was kind and scheduled me for the following morning with a different hygienist, whom I had seen before and liked. Unfortunately, the follow-up appointment is why I am leaving. Instead of simply addressing my concern, the hygienist questioned what had happened and why I had not spoken up sooner, despite the fact that I had raised the issue during the original appointment and called immediately afterward. She also suggested that I would be charged for the additional cleaning, which I found surprising since I was only asking for a service I believed had not been completed. At one point, she reclined the chair, scraped my teeth, and pointed out that she was not finding plaque buildup. This made me feel as though I needed to prove that my concern was legitimate. She also told me she was going to document the situation in my chart because she was concerned I might not be satisfied with future cleanings. As someone who had been a patient for eight years without ever making a complaint, this felt unfair and unnecessarily defensive. The entire interaction left me feeling as though I was being treated like I was trying to get something for free or take advantage of the office, rather than a long-time patient with a reasonable concern. Instead of feeling heard, I felt dismissed and questioned to the point that I was nearly in tears. Mistakes happen, and I would have completely understood if the office had simply acknowledged the concern and corrected it. The missed cleaning is not why I am leaving. The lack of professionalism and customer service in handling the situation is. I have also noticed significant turnover among both the dentists and hygienists over the years, which has also been a concern for me. After eight years as a patient, I will not be returning.
I really like Dr Sam Miller. He is not only a great dentist but an incredibly gifted oral surgeon as well. I realized I was going to need to have one of my molars replaced t removed, and instead of having to go to another place and then come back he was able to do it all right there. Its wasn't an easy procedure yet he made it seem easy and painless as well. He has excellent and really good people working for him in Assistants Lawrence, Sarah and Dylan at the front desk are just great human beings. Considering that they are a dentist office... says a lot. Mark Remington Lowry Colorado
I’ve been going here six years now. And every time the dentists and hygienists have always been professional and compassionate. When I ask questions, they’re answered seriously without dismissing me or my concerns. No one likes cleanings per say, but they’ve always worked really well around my anxiety and put me at ease. Even when I’ve gotten fillings or crowns they have been really good about making it as stress free and pain free as they possibly can.
I appreciate them getting me in for a dental emergency and taking the time to answer my questions when some information was not clear. Excellent dentist. Great staff. Good location. I have been encouraging them to make their office communication accessible for people who are deaf or hard of hearing and communicate by sign language. This is a requirement under the Americans with disabilities Act. They need to set up Virtual remote interpreting in their office this would help also with people who speak a different language.
The dental hygienists and the Dentist are so kind here. I feel like they listen well and answer questions thoroughly. I've had nothing but positive experiences. Highly recommend.
I was a patient at this office for many years and always had a great experience with the previous dentist. Since the change in ownership, my experience has been very different. During one visit when I was sick, the dentist told me to go home and reschedule. A few minutes later, the office called to say I had “canceled too many times,” even though I followed the dentist’s instructions. This type of miscommunication became a recurring issue. I also felt that the bedside manner and clarity of treatment explanations were not at the level I had come to expect. At one point I was referred elsewhere, but the referral paperwork was never sent, which delayed my care. Because of these ongoing problems, I eventually decided to switch practices. I also know other long-term patients who have left for similar reasons. Sharing this so others can make an informed decision. Would not recommend this practice.
Clean and well lit, my first experience is a positive one. Time will tell but everything is off to a good start. I really like my new hygienist Jennifer ! Her Communication and gentleness kept me relaxed throughout my cleaning. I Recommend !
What an absolute scheduling nightmare. I received multiple messages saying my appointment had to be moved because a hygienist left the company — inconvenient, but understandable. The new time was confirmed twice by email and again through their automated text system. Then, out of nowhere, I received another automated text saying I’d been removed from the schedule entirely. No explanation. No follow-up. I immediately called after I was able to get out of work, left a voicemail to clear things up, and of course — no one ever called me back. I showed up at my confirmed time anyway, only to be told by the front desk that my appointment “was no longer available.” I explained (again) that I had confirmed multiple times — by text, emailed twice AND left a voicemail — but it didn’t seem to matter. Then came the kicker: the receptionist claimed they had “tried to reach me about a 2 PM appointment". That was a flat-out lie. I received no call, no text, no email — nothing about 2 PM opening. When I asked if the 2 PM slot was still open, it magically was, meaning I had to drive back home and return a second time that same day just to be seen. This kind of chaos and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable. I shouldn’t have to chase down my own appointment after confirming it three different ways. If this office can’t manage basic communication, I have serious doubts about how they handle anything else. I will be taking my business elsewhere as I do not have time for these scheduling games.
