After graduating from the University of Glasgow, Dr Patel grew his arsenal of skills in General Dentistry across northern Scotland. During this time, he was the highest-achieving trainee dentist and was honoured with the Accolade of VT Dentist of the Year North Scotland 2011/12. Dr Patel also enrolled on a 3-year postgraduate MSc training programme in Clinical Periodontology at the University of Central Lancashire, graduating with Merit in 2016. Since 2017, he has been welcoming periodontal referrals.
