Family dentistry plus orthodontics on Bell Road

About Scottsdale Family Dentistry & Orthodontics

Scottsdale Family Dentistry & Orthodontics is a combined practice on East Bell Road in the Paradise Valley Village area, where the same office handles routine general dentistry and orthodontic treatment under one roof. That setup makes a real difference for families with school-age kids — your daughter's six-month cleaning, your son's braces consultation, and your own crown replacement can all happen at the same address rather than three separate referrals. The practice covers the prevention-restoration-emergency arc on the general side, plus the orthodontic work that usually requires a separate office in most other practices.

On the general-dentistry side, the office handles cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, extractions, and gum-disease treatment — the standard backbone of a family dental practice. The orthodontic side covers traditional braces and clear-aligner systems for both teenagers and adults; this is the same practice you'd visit for a free orthodontic consult and the cleaning that came before it. Emergency dentistry coverage extends across both sides of the practice, so a broken bracket on a Friday afternoon doesn't require a separate after-hours call. The office accepts most dental insurance and is set up for new patients across north Scottsdale.

If you're a parent who's tired of the back-and-forth between general dentistry and orthodontics — different offices, different paperwork, different schedules — this is the pattern that collapses both into one address.

For families looking for general dentistry in Scottsdale, AZ that also handles braces, the combined-practice setup makes the family dentist in Scottsdale equation simpler: one chart, one billing relationship, and treatment plans coordinated between the general and ortho sides. Pricing on the general side sits in the typical north-Scottsdale range; orthodontic estimates depend on case complexity and aligner-vs-braces choice and are walked through during the initial consult. The clinic suits households where multiple people will need either general or orthodontic work over the next few years — having both under the same roof saves a lot of logistical friction, which is what most families looking for a dentist for whole family in Scottsdale ultimately care about.

As a new patient I didn't know what to expect.I'm always hopeful of course and that was well placed faith in Scottsdale family dentistry. I spoke with Mary Ann the day before to schedule an appointment and she was just delightful. Front desk was efficient and courteous. In my dental hygienist Andrea was simply amazing the jealous touch and that's so important when somebody's creeping around poking and prodding in your mouth. Dr Brown was confident and PATIENT. Offering a couple options, he explained the procedures, comparing cost/benefit/complexity, simplifying my decision. I couldn't be happier and would wholeheartedly recommend them. I'm even sending my mother there!

I went to Scottsdale Family Dentistry & Orthodontics earlier this week to have an issue with my permanent lower retainer repaired. I paid $150 for what I was told was a proper fix. Three days later, it came undone again. To make matters worse, their website lists Friday hours (8:30am–2pm), but when you call, the voicemail says they are only open every other Friday. Today they were closed — leaving me with a loose retainer digging into my mouth and no way to get it corrected by the office that supposedly “fixed” it. If you are going to advertise Friday hours, your scheduling needs to be clear and consistent. And if you charge patients for a repair, it should last longer than 72 hours. Dental work should not feel temporary or experimental. I expected competence and availability. I got neither.

Dr. Brown is so awesome. My entire family goes at this office and never had any issues. Staff is so pleasant and all are very welcoming.

This is the best dentist office I have ever been too. The office was clean and the staff is exceptional. Special acknowledgement for Aziza who helped me from start to finish by getting me an appointment quickly with the followup the next day. The dentist was professional, explained each step as did his dental assistants, and while the dentist is normally not my favorite place, I look forward to returning.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU EXPECT PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE OFFICE MANAGER!!! She's extremely rude and speaks over you CONSTANTLY. I have been going here for years and even having a normal conversation with her is quite difficult because of her lack of knowledge around basic communication skills. She told my husband and I she would handle a bill with the insurance being that's her job we trusted her. Just to get a bill in the mail YEARS later demanding money or it gets sent to collections with only a 2 week span to pay said bill. I called my insurance and an additional claim was never filed so how would the balance get paid by my insurance like she said she was going to have them do?? I called to handle the bill and the office was closed 2 out of the 5 days in the 2nd week they gave us to pay the bill. No way to pay the bill other than over the phone so tell me how that makes any sense! Once I got through to the office the next week the office manager again was speaking over me non stop and hanging up on me because I was upset that she didn't handle the bill like she said she would. I got ortho care here over 2 years ago and I still have glue damage on my teeth. I had braces before as a child and nothing was left behind. I told the dentist and he just proceeded to keep grinding my teeth. DO NOT GO HERE!
