Who Needs It?
Crowns are recommended for teeth that are severely decayed, cracked, broken, or weakened after root canal treatment. They are also used to anchor dental bridges and cover dental implants.
What to Expect
Your dentist will prepare the tooth by reshaping it, take impressions for a custom crown, and place a temporary crown. At your follow-up visit, the permanent crown is cemented in place for a natural look and feel.
